Terms of Service — ClickMic

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ClickMic browser extension, provided by Astrolabe SIA, a company registered in Latvia ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: info@astrolabe-studio.com.

2. Acceptance

By installing or using the ClickMic extension, or by purchasing any paid feature if offered, you agree to these Terms and to the applicable privacy policies: the Astrolabe Tools website Privacy Policy (for our public site only) and the ClickMic Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install the extension or complete the purchase.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ClickMic for your own use on any devices you personally control.

You may not: (a) sell, sublicense, rent, or distribute the extension, or any paid entitlement or license key if one is issued; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code of the extension, except to the extent the law allows such acts despite this limitation; (c) remove, alter, or obscure copyright or license notices; (d) use the extension in a way that violates the terms of websites or services where you use ClickMic; (e) use the extension in any way that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

4. Paid features and purchases

ClickMic is free to install. If paid features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases are offered, the pricing and terms shown at checkout apply.

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction. If a license key or entitlement is issued after purchase, it is for your use only.

The extension may communicate over HTTPS with our servers under https://astrolabe-tools.com/clickmic/backend/extension/ to verify free-trial or Pro access (using a random per-install identifier only — see the ClickMic Privacy Policy), to probe service health, and to submit bug reports only when you choose to send them. The extension may also fetch a public Character Pack catalog and download optional image or audio assets for mascot packs you install. Optional reminders you attach to history entries are scheduled locally on your device (browser alarms and notifications) and are not sent to our servers. Those server requests do not include dictated text, browsing history, or payment card details.

Character Pack manifests and assets are licensed for your personal use within ClickMic only. Unless applicable law gives you broader rights, you may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or use downloaded pack assets as a standalone product outside the extension.

5. Refunds and EU 14-day right of withdrawal

EU and UK consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital content within 14 days of purchase. To request withdrawal or a refund, contact us at info@astrolabe-studio.com with your order email and purchase details.

If you start using paid digital content or paid features during the withdrawal period, your rights may be affected to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Refunds, where applicable, are issued to the original payment method via Lemon Squeezy. If a paid entitlement or license key was issued for the purchase, it may be deactivated after a refund is processed.

6. Updates and availability

We may update the extension and website at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the extension, website, licensing or Character Pack catalog endpoints on astrolabe-tools.com, the optional bug-report form, or any purchase-related services. Third-party browsers, websites, and speech-recognition services may also change or become unavailable over time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

ClickMic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that ClickMic will be error-free, that voice recognition will always be available, or that every website, browser, or third-party service will remain compatible over time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the extension or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for ClickMic paid features in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or for harm to life or bodily integrity).

9. Termination

You may stop using the extension and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or revoke access to paid features, or invalidate a license key or entitlement if one is issued, if it is used in breach of these Terms, including fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited use under Section 3.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Riga, Latvia, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be derogated from by contract.

EU consumers may have mandatory consumer-protection rights under the laws of their country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived by contract.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date above indicates when changes were last made. Material changes will be flagged on our website; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
